Dick was a former PBUC supervisor for 19 years, serving as senior field supervisor for Major League Baseball's Umpire Development Program. Dick has umpired and supervised every level of professional baseball.

 

DICK RUNCHEY

Director of Umpires International Baseball Federation. Regional Advisor NCAA Umpire Program. Chairman Amateur Baseball Umpires Association (ABUA). After retiring from the field in 1998 after a 30 year career as an umpire, Dick currently selects, assigns, evaluates, observes, trains and supervises umpires for the International Baseball Federation, is a Regional Advisor for the NCAA Umpire Program and Chairman of the Amateur Baseball Umpires Association. Dick attended Al Somers Umpire School in 1972, spent three years in the Minor Leagues and then spent 23 years as an umpire in College and International Baseball. Dick worked 5 College World Series, 19 Div I Regionals, 1992 Olympics, 1988 World Championships, 1987 Pan American Games. Dick is in constant demand as a clinician and has taught at umpire camps throughout the United States and in many foreign countries. Dick is married to Janie, and has three sons. He currently resides in Michigan and Florida.

THOMAS HAYWOOD

 

Thomas first started umpiring in 2004 in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2005 he went to the Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring  in Kissimmee to do the Florida Classic and then graduated from the 5 week school thereafter. Additionally he attended the Desert Classic in 2006 and has done photography at the 5 week school since 2007 for Jim Evans.
Thomas is a CEB Umpire and has umpired in 12 countries round the world. He currently umpires in the French Elite, British National League as well as European Tournaments. In Sept 2009 he umpired in 3 World Cup training games involving Sweden and South Korea.

TONY JONES

Tony first started umpiring at the age of 10 in California and umpired for 6 years through Little League and up to High School level. He started umpiring in Finland in 1997 and is the current Director of Umpires in Finland. Tony currently umpires in the Swedish Elite Series and the Finnish
SM-liiga and is a CEB umpire trainer. Worked 3 CEB Euro Cup Qualifiers, 1 CEB European Championship Qualifier, 3
Nordic / Baltic Championships, 2 Swedish Elite Series Finals and 8 Finnish SM-liiga Finals. In 2009 umpired in 3 World Cup training game involving Sweden and South Korea.
Graduate of the 1st Jim Evans European Classic in 2008 in Rouen, France and the 2009 MLB Umpire Camp in Compton, California.


SERGE MAKOUCHETCHEV

 

27 years old French Umpire, working CEB tournaments (2 B pool Cups, 2 European Championships Qualifier, 4 A pool Cups, 2 European Championships U21, 1 European Olympic Qualifier), and IBAF Tournaments (WBUC 2002, Good Luck Beijing 2007)
2 times graduated from Jim Evans Professional Umpiring Academy, 5 weeks course 2004 and 2005, worked as field instructor staff in 2008 Jim Evans European Classic.

Serge had lived a great experience at the Academy in Florida, umpiring and human wise. He knows that no one can leave the course without wonderful memories no matter how long you spend with peoples that will be present.

DAVID KULHÁNEK

 

Czech baseball umpire with the IBAF and CEB license . He is member of Organizing Committee for this Clinic and member of Czech Umpires Committee and instructor of Czech umps. David worked in IBAF WC 2009, CEB Final Four 2009 (clubs competition for the best four teams in Europe), CEB EC 2009, IBAF&FISU World University Baseball Championship 2008, IBAF Olympic Test Event “Good Luck Beijing” 2007, IBAF&CEB EC and Olympic Qualification 2007, CEB European Cup 2007, etc. His umpire career began 1996.

David graduated from Jim Evans EC 2008, Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring 2009 and Major League Baseball Umpire Camps 2009, and several more Clinics in Europe.

Czech baseball umpire licensed CEB and IBAF. Under the two organizations desided several prestigious tournaments. His umpire career began in 1995. Since 2001 member of the Commission referees CBA. Since 2002, the annual teacher training for judges in the Czech Republic.
